Fabric quality Tests


Inspection and testing procedures for all fabric or yarn entering in to the processing house with proper record maintenance and the quality check of various quality requirements of the customer at the finishing point before the goods would be dispatched out of the factory are very important. It's not only saving the customer complaints and bad impression created about us and saves a lot of reprocessing cost and indirectly fetch continuous material supply from the customer side for processing.

Generally when the fabric for processing is received from a grey warehouse of mill, at the processing side, before taking it for processing, proper identification, pre-inspection on an examination table for oil stains, cut selvedges, barriness,bowling and squeeing etc has tobe checked with trianed people and the defective peaces has to segregated for approval from supplier/cutomer side.

Similarly there are chances of getting very old fabric packed and kept in a moist atomosphere for a very long time, resulting in fungal formation and loss of strength. So a random check of breaking/bursting strength is very much essential.

Similarly where there is chances of fiber mixing and contamination of one or two strands of yarn in warp way, if the weaving unit has been doing more than one fiber class. This will create fabric unacceptability for longer lengths. So, contamination should also be checked,identifying the source point.

Finished fabric or yarn should be checked for all quality parameters required by the customer. For example light fastness, crease recovery angle, crocking fastness, etc.
